Software that fits the way you actually work.

Off-the-shelf tools rarely fit. We build the platforms, dashboards and integrations that replace the spreadsheets, connect the systems you already pay for, and give your team back their time. Trusted by Tiger Brands, Assupol and municipalities across South Africa.

Why bespoke

  • AdminHours a week go into repetitive work that software could do once, and correctly.
  • 1 truthOne place where the live state of the business lives, instead of six spreadsheets and an inbox.
  • Real timeDashboards that show what needs attention today, not what happened last month.
  • YoursYou own the code, the data and the hosting. Documented, tested and handed over.

What we build

The systems that run the business.

Six kinds of software we are asked for most, each one built around the way a specific team already works.

Operations platforms

Projects, jobs, issues and reports in one live view, with alerts up front and an AI assistant you can ask questions of your own data. That is Trudex.

Real-time dashboards

Campaign, sales, operations or compliance numbers as they happen, for the people who have to act on them. Built for Tiger Brands campaigns.

Workflow and approvals

The request, the approval, the job and the invoice as one flow with a status, instead of a spreadsheet, four emails and a phone call.

Integrations and APIs

Payments, CRMs, ERPs, accounting, WhatsApp, USSD and SMS gateways talking to each other, so nobody retypes anything.

Customer and partner portals

Let customers, suppliers or agents see their own orders, statements, jobs and documents without emailing your team for them.

Banking and public-sector tools

Internal systems built to the audit, access-control and record-keeping standards an insurer or a municipality has to meet.

If it lives in a spreadsheet today, it does not have to. Tell us about the spreadsheet.

How we work

Four steps, weekly demos.

You see working software every week from the second week. No big reveal at the end.

  1. Discover

We sit with the people who do the work and map how it actually flows, including the spreadsheet nobody admits to. Then we write the spec and quote the first phase.

  2. Design

Data model, workflows and screens, reviewed with your team before a line of code. The cheapest place to change your mind.

  3. Build in slices

The most valuable piece first, demonstrated every week, used by real staff as soon as it is useful. Tested, documented, in your repository.

  4. Run

Hosting, monitoring, backups, security updates and a support line, then the next phase, planned with you. Most of our work is with clients we already launched.

How we keep bespoke from becoming a liability

The fear with custom software is being stuck with it. These are the rules that mean you are not.

  • You own the code. It lives in your repository from day one, with the rights assigned to you.
  • Mainstream technology. Well-supported stacks that any competent team can pick up, chosen per project and explained to you.
  • Documented and tested. Automated tests, written documentation and a handover that does not depend on one person’s memory.
  • Security and POPIA. Access control, audit logs, encryption and data minimisation designed in, not bolted on.
  • Phased and priced. Fixed price per phase, so the budget is known and the scope is yours to decide.
  • Support with a name. A person to call, response times in writing, and we keep the system patched.

What you get

From the spec to the support line.

The analysis, the build, the integrations and the running of it, from one team.

  • Discovery and specification

Process mapping, requirements, data model and a phased plan with a fixed price for each phase.

  • Web platforms

Secure, responsive applications your team uses in a browser, on a laptop in the office or a phone on site.

  • Dashboards and reporting

Live views, saved filters, exports and, where it helps, an AI assistant that answers plain-language questions of your data.

  • Integrations and APIs

Connections to the systems you already have and a documented API so the next system can connect too.

  • Hosting, monitoring and support

South African or global cloud hosting, monitoring, backups, security updates and a support agreement in writing.

  • Training and handover

Your team trained, your admins able to manage users and settings, and documentation you could hand to another developer.

Spec, build, weekly demos and a support line. One fixed scope, one price for the first phase, then a retained arrangement to run and improve it, if it has earned its keep.

Questions we get asked

Before you commission anything.

Bespoke or off-the-shelf?

If a product does ninety percent of what you need and the other ten percent is not what makes you different, buy it and we will integrate it. Bespoke is for the work that is specific to how you win, or when the off-the-shelf tool is costing more in workarounds than it saves.

Ask us about your system

How much does it cost and how long does it take?

We quote a fixed price for each phase after discovery, and the first useful phase is typically a few weeks to a few months depending on scope. You decide after each phase whether to continue.

Ask us about your system

What technology do you use?

Mainstream, well-supported web technologies and cloud hosting, chosen to fit your project and the skills your organisation already has. We will explain the choice and why, and we will not pick something only we can maintain.

Ask us about your system

Who owns the code?

You do. It sits in your repository with the intellectual property assigned to you, and the documentation is written so another developer could take over.

Ask us about your system

Can you take over or fix a system someone else built?

Usually. We audit it first and tell you honestly whether to stabilise it, extend it or replace it in phases while it keeps running.

Ask us about your system

What happens after launch?

We host, monitor, back up and patch it under a support agreement with response times in writing, and we plan the next phase with you when the first one has earned its keep.

Ask us about your system

One backend, every channel

Build the system once. Open it to customers everywhere.

The same platform that runs your operations can serve customers on a mobile app, answer on WhatsApp and take entries on a *120# code. We build the backend to be shared from the start.

Ready when you are

Tell us about the spreadsheet.

Describe the process that eats your team’s week. We will come back with a plan, a first phase and a fixed price for it.
